Emiliano and the Train to the Underworld

Synopsis

Emiliano and the train to the underworld is the portrait of the archetypal hero, in this case a boy who embarks on a journey in search of his father through the symbolisms of death according to the Mayans and other pre-Columbian Mesoamerican cultures.

Along the way, the child transforms his vision of the world. His ideas about the phenomenon of death are strongly influenced by his grandfather, an old man with indigenous heritage, who becomes his mentor and guide in his journey through the underworld.

It is set in contemporary Mexico, convulsive, mestizo, rich in cultural mixtures and fusions at all levels.
